Summary
This study looks at how a pregnant person's metabolism—specifically insulin resistance and fat burning—may be linked to placenta health and pregnancy complications like preeclampsia and gestational diabetes. Researchers will follow 50 pregnant women at high or moderate risk for preeclampsia, measuring blood sugar, fat burning, and body composition early and late in pregnancy. The goal is to better understand these connections to improve future care.
