First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study will test a new markerless motion capture system that uses only four cameras to analyze how children walk. Researchers will enroll 125 healthy children aged 6 to 17. The goal is to see if this simpler setup can provide useful information about walking patterns, which could eventually help diagnose and treat movement problems in kids.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could make gait analysis faster and cheaper, allowing doctors to study walking problems in children more easily.

What could go wrong

This is an early observational study in healthy children only. It does not test a treatment, so it may not lead directly to any new therapy.
