First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at how heart surgery impacts the mental health, well-being, and quality of life of adults with Marfan Syndrome, a genetic condition that weakens the body's connective tissues. Researchers asked 28 participants to fill out questionnaires about their mood, fatigue, pain, and self-esteem before surgery and at several points after. The goal was to identify gaps in care and help design better support for patients recovering from heart surgery.
