Sweet solution? honey mouth rinse tested to fight serious gum disease in dialysis patients

NCT ID NCT06726876

Summary

This study is testing if rinsing with Manuka honey can help control gum disease (periodontitis) in people receiving kidney dialysis. Gum disease is very common and serious in this group. Researchers want to see if adding this natural antibacterial rinse to standard dental cleaning improves gum health and reduces inflammation compared to standard care alone.
