Summary
This study compares two common surgeries for uterine prolapse: the Manchester procedure (which repairs and preserves the uterus) and vaginal hysterectomy (removing the uterus). About 426 women with symptomatic prolapse will be randomly assigned to one surgery and followed for up to 10 years. The main goal is to see which approach works better at the two-year mark.
