First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looked at ways to reduce tooth sensitivity after deep gum cleaning in 48 adults with gum disease. Participants received either a desensitizing gel (Gluma), a special laser, or both. Their pain was measured over 6 months using standard scales. The goal was to see if combining the gel and laser works better than either alone.
