Magnetic heart scan may spot rare disease earlier

NCT ID NCT07218705

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests a new, non-invasive heart scan called magnetocardiography (MCG) to see if it can detect and monitor amyloidosis, a rare disease where abnormal proteins build up in organs. Researchers will compare MCG results with standard ECG in 500 adults. This is an observational study, meaning no treatment is given—just careful measurement to improve future diagnosis.
