AI-Powered brain zaps aim to ease Veterans' gulf war pain

Summary

This study tests whether a computer algorithm can predict the best way to stimulate the brain to relieve headaches and body pain in veterans with Gulf War Illness. About 140 veterans will receive active rTMS treatment, and the algorithm's predictions will be checked against their pain reports. The goal is to replace the current trial-and-error approach with a personalized, more effective treatment plan.
