New scan seeks to unlock secrets of troubled breathing

NCT ID NCT06038630

Summary

This study is testing a new type of MRI scan that uses a safe, inhaled gas to create detailed pictures of how well the lungs and blood are working together. Researchers want to see how these pictures change in people with different lung and blood conditions, like scarring lung disease or blood clots in the lungs, and in healthy volunteers. The goal is to better understand these diseases and see how the scan responds to treatments like blood transfusions or surgery.
