New study aims to predict lung cancer without invasive biopsies
NCT ID NCT04165564
First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether noninvasive biomarkers (like those found in breath or blood) can accurately tell if a lung nodule is cancerous or benign in high-risk smokers. Researchers will follow 85 participants with lung nodules to validate these biomarkers alongside standard imaging. The goal is to improve early detection and reduce unnecessary invasive procedures.
