Breath and blood tests may spot lung cancer early in smokers
NCT ID NCT04165564
First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether noninvasive tests—like blood or breath samples—can tell if a suspicious spot in the lung is cancer or not. Researchers are studying 85 high-risk smokers with small lung nodules to see if these biomarkers work better than current methods. The goal is to make lung cancer diagnosis faster, easier, and less invasive.
