New study seeks to sniff out lung cancer before symptoms start

Summary
This study looks for early warning signs of lung cancer in people at high risk, such as smokers aged 50-79 with COPD or a family history of lung cancer. Researchers will test blood and breath samples to find biomarkers that could predict lung cancer before symptoms appear. The goal is to make screening more accurate and catch the disease earlier, when it's easier to treat. About 665 participants will be involved, and the study is currently active but not recruiting new participants.
