First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests whether a low dose of tamoxifen, a hormone-blocking drug, can reduce the risk of breast cancer in people who have had radiation therapy for other cancers. About 84 participants took either low-dose tamoxifen or a placebo for a period of time. The main goal was to see if the drug lowered breast density, a known risk factor for breast cancer.
