Massive 10,000-patient study to reveal if sleep apnea therapy prevents heart attacks and death
NCT ID NCT05115994
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at 10,000 people with both sleep apnea and high blood pressure to see how well their treatments work together to prevent major heart problems or death. Researchers will track whether using a breathing machine at night (PAP) and taking blood pressure medicine lowers the risk of heart attack, stroke, heart failure, or dying. The goal is to find the best way to manage these two conditions and improve long-term survival.
