Massive european study aims to redefine success in liver transplants
NCT ID NCT07585890
First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026
Summary
This study is gathering information from 10,000 liver transplant patients across Europe to create a new, up-to-date reference for what good outcomes look like when donor livers are preserved using machine perfusion. The goal is to help doctors better understand which preservation methods work best for different patients and donor livers. Participants are adults receiving a liver transplant, and the study simply observes their recovery without testing any new treatments.
