Light therapy may boost brain health in older adults after head injury

Summary
This study tests a non-invasive light therapy called transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) in 70 older adults (ages 55-85) who had a moderate to severe traumatic brain injury 1-2 years ago. The goal is to see if the light can increase blood flow to the brain and improve thinking skills like memory and attention. Participants will receive the light treatment and be monitored for changes in brain scans and cognitive tests.
