Summary
This study looked at whether taking a laxative (polyethylene glycol 3350) before surgery, in addition to after surgery, reduces discomfort with bowel movements compared to taking it only after surgery. It involved 74 women undergoing minimally invasive surgery for pelvic organ prolapse who did not have constipation. Participants completed questionnaires about their symptoms and quality of life.
