Summary
This study looked at whether taking a laxative before surgery can make bowel movements less uncomfortable after pelvic prolapse repair. 74 women having minimally invasive surgery were asked to take a laxative either before and after surgery or only after. The goal was to see if the pre-surgery dose helped reduce discomfort.
