First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests a new method called LaserSAFE that uses a special microscope to scan the removed prostate during surgery. The goal is to see if it can quickly find cancer at the edges of the prostate, helping surgeons decide whether to save or remove nearby nerves. About 693 men with prostate cancer will take part, and the study will check how accurate and fast the method is compared to standard lab tests.
