Summary
This study tested a low-dose drug called landiolol to prevent atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat) after heart surgery. About 400 non-Asian adults who had heart surgery took part. The goal was to see if landiolol could lower the chance of developing this complication without causing dangerous drops in blood pressure or heart rate.
