Knee surgery blood drain debate: does it help or hurt?

NCT ID NCT07494708

Summary

This study looked at whether using a surgical drain after knee replacement surgery affects blood loss. Researchers compared 102 patients who either had a drain inserted or did not. They measured patients' blood levels after surgery to see if one method led to less blood loss and fewer blood transfusions.
