Knee replacement showdown: which alignment technique helps patients feel better?

NCT ID NCT06617871

First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study compares two methods of knee replacement surgery: mechanical alignment (traditional, neutral position) and kinematic alignment (mimics natural knee position). About 95 adults with knee arthritis will be randomly assigned to one method. The goal is to see which approach leads to better patient-reported outcomes like pain, function, and how much the knee feels 'forgotten' during daily life.
