Ketone drink may curb alcohol cravings in new study

Summary
This study tests whether a single dose of a ketone ester drink can lower alcohol cravings and drinking in 20 adults with alcohol use disorder who are not seeking treatment. Participants will have two separate test days: one with the ketone drink and one with a placebo. Researchers will use brain scans and a simulated bar setting to measure effects on brain activity, cravings, and alcohol consumption.
