Summary
This study tests whether a special ketone drink can help people with alcohol use disorder drink less and feel fewer cravings. Twenty adults who drink heavily but are not seeking treatment will receive either the ketone drink or a placebo on two separate days. Researchers will use brain scans and questionnaires to see how the drink affects brain responses to alcohol cues and actual drinking behavior.
