First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests a very low-calorie ketogenic diet (600-800 calories per day) in 14 adults with type 1 diabetes and obesity who use an automated insulin pump. The goal is to see if the diet can help them lose about 5% of their body weight in 4 weeks without causing dangerous drops in blood sugar or diabetic ketoacidosis. Participants will be closely monitored by doctors throughout the program.
