First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether a very low-calorie ketogenic diet (600-800 calories per day) can help adults with type 1 diabetes and obesity lose weight safely. Fourteen participants will follow a 4-week meal replacement program while using an automated insulin delivery system. The goal is to achieve about 5% weight loss without dangerous drops in blood sugar or diabetic ketoacidosis.
