Electric pulses plus chemo take on tough pancreatic cancer

Summary
This early-stage study tests whether adding a procedure called irreversible electroporation (IRE) to standard chemotherapy can help control locally advanced pancreatic cancer. IRE uses short electric pulses to destroy cancer cells. The study will enroll 20 adults with stage III pancreatic cancer and will focus on safety and how long the cancer stays under control.
