First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests a procedure called irreversible electroporation (IRE) for people whose thyroid cancer has returned in the lymph nodes of the neck after standard surgery. IRE uses short, strong electric pulses to destroy cancer cells without cutting or heating the tissue. About 85 adults will receive the treatment and be followed for 2 years to see if the treated lymph nodes shrink and how safe the procedure is.
