First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested a new ultrasound technique to see the smallest blood vessels in lymph nodes on the neck. Researchers wanted to know if this method could tell the difference between healthy and cancerous lymph nodes. Twenty adults with head and neck cancer, lymphoma, or healthy volunteers took part. Each person had one standard ultrasound and one new super-resolution ultrasound scan.
