First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study is testing a new imaging method using a special tracer called I-124 evuzumitide to better diagnose cardiac amyloidosis, a condition where abnormal proteins build up in the heart and other organs. About 150 adults with known or suspected amyloidosis will receive a PET/MRI or PET/CT scan. The goal is to see how accurate this scan is compared to standard diagnosis, and to understand where the protein buildup occurs in the body.
