NCT ID NCT06134986

First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study compared time-restricted eating (eating only during a 6-8 hour window each day) to daily calorie restriction for weight loss and blood sugar control in 32 adults with type 1 diabetes and obesity. Participants followed their assigned diet while continuing insulin and glucose monitoring. The goal was to see if the simpler, time-based approach could improve weight and glycemic outcomes as well as or better than traditional calorie counting.
