Mind-Controlled tech: new implant aims to restore independence in ALS patients

Summary

This early study tests a device implanted in a blood vessel in the brain that lets people with ALS control computers or devices just by thinking. The goal is to help with daily tasks and improve quality of life. Ten adults with ALS who have weakness in both arms will be enrolled to check safety and how well the device works.
