New strategy fights rapidly worsening heart disease with Anti-Inflammatory drugs

Summary
This study is testing a comprehensive treatment plan for a specific, aggressive type of coronary artery disease believed to be driven by inflammation. It will enroll about 39 patients who have this condition and compare their health outcomes before and after starting the new treatment. The treatment combines standard heart disease prevention, immunosuppressive drugs to calm inflammation, and procedures to open blocked arteries.
