NCT ID NCT01747967
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked for simpler ways to measure how many insulin-making cells are left in people with type 1 diabetes. Currently, doctors use a long, 3-hour meal test, which is not very sensitive. Researchers checked if immune cells in the blood or urine tests could give the same information more easily. The study involved 156 children and adults with type 1 diabetes.
