Modified cold sore virus injected to fight disfiguring skin tumors

NCT ID NCT07102394

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a modified virus (IMLYGIC) can be safely injected into skin tumors caused by neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) to shrink them. The virus is designed to infect and destroy tumor cells. Researchers will enroll 10 adults with NF1 who have at least 8 small, measurable skin tumors to see if the treatment is feasible and tolerable.
