NCT ID NCT04085159

First seen Jun 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026

Summary

This study tests a personalized cell therapy using a patient's own immune cells, modified to target tumor-associated antigens, along with a dendritic cell vaccine. The goal is to see if this approach is safe for people with neurofibromatosis or schwannomatosis. Up to 100 participants aged 1 year and older with progressing tumors will be enrolled.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Antigen-specific T cells (CAR-T/CTL) and dendritic cell vaccine (DCvac)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward a new treatment option to control tumors in people with neurofibromatosis or schwannomatosis.

What could go wrong

This is an early-phase trial (Phase 1/2) with a small number of participants, so safety and effectiveness are not yet proven. There may be side effects from the cell therapy.
