Summary
This study looked at whether eating a whole-food plant-based diet for 8 weeks could lower markers linked to cancer, inflammation, and immune health in firefighters. 121 active firefighters took part, with half switching to a plant-based diet and the other half eating as usual. Researchers measured changes in blood markers like IL-6 and C-reactive protein to see if diet made a difference.
