Saltwater showdown: which eyedrop clears Post-Surgery eye swelling faster?

NCT ID NCT07605273

First seen May 25, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a stronger saltwater eyedrop (5%) works better than a weaker one (3%) for reducing swelling of the cornea after cataract surgery. 70 adults who developed corneal edema following surgery received one of the two eyedrop types. The main goal was to see which strength more effectively reduced the thickness of the swollen cornea.
