Summary
This study aims to understand how the drug mitapivat works in people with sickle cell disease. It involves 6 participants who are already in a larger clinical trial testing the drug. Researchers will take extra blood samples and use a non-invasive skin test to measure oxygen and blood flow, hoping to learn the biological mechanisms behind the treatment.
