Scientists probe hidden HIV reservoirs in Body's tissues

NCT ID NCT00001316

Summary

This study aims to better understand how HIV hides and replicates in the body's lymph nodes and bone marrow, compared to what is seen in the blood. Researchers will collect blood and lymph node tissue samples from 400 people living with HIV and some without HIV for comparison. The goal is to learn how the virus damages the immune system and how treatments might affect it in these different parts of the body.
