New counseling strategy aims to protect vulnerable women from HIV
NCT ID NCT06835751
Summary
This study is testing two different counseling approaches to help women who use drugs in Tanzania start and continue taking a daily pill to prevent HIV (called PrEP). Researchers are comparing basic counseling, more intensive counseling that also addresses mental health, and standard information. The goal is to find the best way to support these women, who face a high risk of HIV, in protecting their health.
