New program aims to shield moms and babies from HIV in uganda

Summary
This study tests a counseling program designed to help women in rural Uganda use HIV prevention medication (PrEP) when they are trying to get pregnant, are pregnant, or have recently had a baby. The goal is to reduce the number of women and children who get HIV. Researchers will work with 660 women who are HIV-negative but have a partner living with HIV or are otherwise at risk.
