New study aims to find best pain block for hip surgery patients

Summary
This study compares two types of nerve blocks—Deep Iliacus Plane Block and Suprainguinal Fascia Iliaca Block—for pain relief after hip replacement surgery. Seventy adults having hip surgery will receive one of the two blocks at the end of their operation. Researchers will measure pain levels, painkiller use, and leg weakness for two days after surgery to see which block works better.
