Summary
This study looked at how one session of high-intensity interval training affects heart and brain function in people with spinal cord injury (SCI) compared to healthy volunteers. 30 participants (15 with SCI and 15 without) did a single high-intensity workout on an arm bike. Researchers measured heart rate, blood pressure, and cognitive test scores before and after exercise. The goal was to see if intense exercise can improve autonomic nervous system control and thinking skills in people with SCI.
