Summary

This study tested a traditional Chinese medicine herbal patch placed on acupoints to relieve pain, depression, and improve quality of life in 21 dialysis patients with fistula-related pain. Participants had end-stage kidney failure and received the patch or a placebo during dialysis sessions. The goal was to see if the patch could reduce pain severity and interference, and improve mood.
