Herbal remedies take on root canal pain: a new study
NCT ID NCT07578311
First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether natural herbal medicines like propolis and green tea can reduce pain and sudden flare-ups after root canal retreatment better than the standard calcium hydroxide paste. Forty adults with failed root canals on single-rooted teeth will be randomly assigned to one of three groups. Pain levels will be tracked for a week after treatment to see if these plant-based options offer a more comfortable recovery.
