First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tested whether giving heart medications (carvedilol and empagliflozin) before or alongside HER2-targeted therapy could prevent heart damage in people with HER2-positive breast cancer. The trial aimed to see if it was possible to enroll enough patients and if the drugs were safe and tolerable. Only 7 participants were enrolled before the study was ended early.
