First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests whether injecting special liver cells into the belly can help people with small-for-size syndrome, a dangerous condition where a liver is too small to work properly. The trial will enroll 12 patients and focus on safety, checking for side effects and changes in liver function. The goal is to improve survival, but this is a very early step to see if the approach is safe.
