First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 38 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a special filter (hemoperfusion) to regular dialysis can better remove waste products from the blood of people with end-stage kidney disease. About 410 adults on maintenance dialysis will be randomly assigned to get either standard dialysis or dialysis plus the extra filter. The goal is to see if the combined treatment lowers certain toxins linked to long-term complications.
