Heart scans reveal why women suffer more from valve disease

NCT ID NCT06780241

Summary

This study aims to understand how heart valve disease affects men and women differently using advanced heart scans. Researchers will examine 200 adults with moderate to severe valve problems to identify biological differences that might explain why women often have worse symptoms despite similar test results. The findings could help doctors develop more personalized treatment approaches based on a patient's sex.
